The corny 3-D bits are distracting, Borgnine's fight double doesn't look at all like Borgnine, and Alphonso Bedoya is simply terrible, but Scott, Trevor, Macready, young Lee Marvin and the charming Joan Weldon (Dr. Medford of "Them!") are fine. It starts slow, but gets better, and I found the ending both surprising and pleasing.

One of the better Randolph Scott Westerns. Interesting story, if a bit difficult to follow at times, but De Toth's fast-paced direction and the handsome cinematography really make it come alive. Originally shot in 3D.
