Summary: In his early 30s, the beer-bellied Dex has things figured out. He's widely read in philosophy, he's studied Steve McQueen the prototypical cool American hero, and he's distilled Buddhism and Taoism into three laws that make him a hit with women: don't express desire, do something heroic in front of her, then retreat. Entertaining and funny while packing enough truth to be meaningful. I think this could easily be called a romantic comedy for guys but without resorting to completely-retarded-lowest common-denominator gags. It's not fantastic and the acting is spotty from some of the suporting cast but overall it's good qualities far outweigh anything else. Great ending too.

Donal Logue is excellent in the lead role. The script is very witty and the movie entertaining. The movie builds on an interesting premise. Definitely check this one out.

Tao of Steve is a noticeably original romantic comedy that is made especially humorous by its well defined characters and a solid sense of reality. Pretty good!
