Summary: Popeye and Bluto run adjoining (and competing) fire companies. When Olive's huge house catches fire, they are soon more interested in fighting each other than the fire. When Bluto goes to the roof to rescue Olive, the fire strands him there. Popeye eats his spinach and rescues them, but it's too late for the house. (imdb)

It's amazing how unique each Popeye short was, considering that the base plot for every cartoon was the same. Popeye and Bluto fight over something, usually Olive Oyl, Popeye eats his spinach, and beats Bluto senseless. What makes this short special is the fire that is consuming the house, as it takes on a life of its own.
