Summary: Claude is a Jew. Because of the risks of an arrest (France is occupied by the Nazis), his parents send him away in the country, at a couple of elderly's. Pepe, the husband, is a Petain supporter and a anti-semite, but he does not know about Claude's religion. The film is the story of their mutual growing affection. (imdb)

Truffaut may have loved this film, but I thought it was merely good. I'm not a big Michel Simon fan. I liked how you didn't really know which way the movie was going to go. I don't have much else to say, I guess. It was a fine movie, just didn't leave a big impression on me.
