Summary: The last thing College Professor Cary West wants, while is wife is out of town, is a TV set to keep him company; but that's just what wife Carolyn has bought for him. He is relieved when the serviceman returns to collect the $100 deposit Carolyn forgot to give him; good, he doesn't have the money so the man can take the TV back! Only, a $5 bill he accidently dropped on the floor near the TV has suddenly developed 19 siblings, and the serviceman leaves, cash in hand... (by )

"I have NO complaints"...one of the goofier movies ever, I'm pretty sure, and an early attempt at (what I hope is) deliberate camp. Not overly much like the original story, but I guess in some weird way it does capture that mood. Hard really to give an opinion on this one; maybe watching it again would turn out to be a lot of fun. Also might be enjoyable with kids (or with drugs). Anyway, Lynn brought a certain deadpan charm to things, and any movie with Joan Blondell's kid sis can't be all bad.

Arch Oboler was one of the all time greatest radio writers, and this has a strong radio-feel. It's a very fun, if minor, film that runs just a bit too long and feels like it'd be more at home on Twilight Zone or Outer Limits.

A television is sent from the future into the then-present 1953. Shades of "The Terminator." A very eccentric film that plays out like an extended Twilight Zone episode on Crack.
