Summary: After the death of the oil tycoon Howard 'Red' Stevens, his greedy family is gathered in the office of his lawyer, partner and friend Mr. Theophillis 'Ted' Hamilton and his associated Miss Hastings for the reading of the will. For his reckless and selfish grandson Jason Stevens, who hated him, Red assigns twelve apparently simple tasks called "gifts" - of work, money, friends, learning, problems, family, laughter, dreams, giving, gratitude, a day and love.

A pleasant, and sometimes wonderful message not often seen in movies today. It was humorous and entertaining all the way through. Some of the story was a bit rushed, and not all things very well explained, but still, you got the idea. The message is the most vital part of this film...and it's something we can all relate to, in one way or another. Young adults should watch this film.

Many girls have recommended this movie for me. The film is not a bad idea. But I dont like things moralists melodramatic. Is not totally bad, but the idea could have been better executed.
