A thoroughly mediocre mob movie, but it's still interesting to watch; it was released early in 1972 before The Godfather, and though that was obviously a far superior movie, this one may nevertheless have influenced it. It's surprising to see the movie's PG rating - it's got every bit as much violence as The Godfather and more nudity to boot. Was the R-rating implemented somewhere in the middle of 1972?
