A trite ending, and overall, an average Gene Wilder vehicle, but a few scenes are among the funniest I have ever seen in my life. The try-outs for being the next Valentino with the leading lady, from the Arab to Wilder's crazed outburst, had me gasping for breath.

one or two good laughs, and a whole lot of boring filler. i know wilder could have done a better job in the writing and directing, he was either off his game or lost his streak. i also have a strange attraction to carol kane, dont know why.
