Consistently moves through a diverse array of set pieces with a furious pace, something the television series rarely did. None of it is amazing, and plot holes and inconsistencies abound at every step, but it's a perfectly watchable, entertaining picture if you don't take it too seriously.

Actually a really well-made sci-fi thriller that "X Files" fans should thoroughly enjoy even if it doesn't stand up to some of the series' best episodes. The plot is interesting and intriguing, the effects superb. My only gripe is its extra terrestrial plot seems to borrow a lot from the concept of the creature in the "Alien" films.

I didn't watch the TV series, but this movie seems like very light entertainment. It possesses some occasional mild wit, which distracts attention for a while from the fact that what is being shown is not too interesting.
