Without a doubt one of Price's best, if not THE best. It truly stands the test of time by being as genuinely funny and entertaining now as it would have been back then. Price quoting Shakespeare on the balcony is one of my favorite scenes of any horror from the 70s.

Pretty good, not Vincent Price's best, but Diana Rigg certainly shows some leg in one damn fine scene. That's good enough for me. Very British.

Price is magnificient in this movie. It's got gore, suspense, and even some humor. I really loved this movie. This is a must see for horror fans.

Good idea... However, it could be written and directed in a more clever way.

This is how Shakespeare's supposed to be! What's not to love? Trampoline swordfights, mudbathing with outcasts, open heart surgery, decapitations and - of course - mr. Vincent Price (aka Greatest Actor Ever) donning 1000 disguises ranging from überold The Merchant of Venice to nose-deformed Richard III? Added bonus: Great wide-angle shots. A cinematic triumph. Death to critics, death to critics! And long live Vincent Price.

Quite Stupid. I loved the Shakespeare parts, but I hated Vincent Price.

Gives me hope that if I stick to the books and learn my Shakespeare proper, maybe someday I'll get to control an army of sadistic homeless outcasts all my own.

Vincent Price's best role, in perhaps his most literate, well-written film.

Gloriously pompous and thoroughly enjoyable with all the aesthetic gusto that only 70s B-movies can offer. A brilliant introduction to Shakespeare for the jaded horror-movie loving youth ... Was that alright Mr. Price?... Don't kill me...

Just about the perfect role for Mr. Price. The blackest comedy of the 70s, and one of the most delightful

Among the absolute best of Price. Sadistic, dark and very funny. You might think that it's treatment of critics is a bit harsh and unwarrented until you realise that they're british critics- The absolute scum of the earth.
