A gem of a film with uniformly good performances and great writing, this should be better known. I find it hard to believe the director is a man.

If Lifetime network made good films, this is what it would look like! Accessible, but smart and excellent performances (Close and Hunter being my favorite). The film is broken into several vignettes and the entire film feels like a collection of shorts stories--think of a cinematic version of Alice Munro.

Some mildly interesting aspects, but ultimately irritating.

Maybe I was too young to enjoy this film at the time, but I hated it. It was so boring and dry. Perhaps a little overdramatic.
