A psychiatric clinic is being used as a front by a secret brotherhood of aristocratic blood drinkers, who are draining the patients like cattle for food. They discover a woman who doesn't know she is directly descended from Countess Bathory and try using psychological conditioning to convince her to join them. Lots of original ideas in this flick that is less about vampirism and more about the woman being gradually broken down by the brotherhood's methods.

Strange, stylish, chilling tale. Minimum of plot and characterization but maximum suspense in this well-directed shocker.
