The fun thing about this short is how it unintentionally serves as a time capsule to show modern audiences what type of entertainment was popular in the 50's. It's accurate--you can see the exact same type of music and dancing in the Poitier vehicle "Edge of the City", but surprisingly few of today's viewers have any clue how "in" you were if you played or danced to Be Bop and how "square" you were if you didn't. The fairy tale link just adds to the fun of this Freleng short. Recommended.

Probably my all time favorite Looney Tunes cartoon, this is definitely Friz Freleng's finest hour at WB. It's a perfect marriage of animation, fairy tale, music and social context. In another 50 years, this will still be an engaging example of artistic, cutting edge cartoon making.

Unforgettable version of a classic story

A really enjoyable take on the three little pigs with a jazzy twist

Some seriously swinging music highlights this fun and jazzy update to the classic Three Little Pigs story. An amazingly memorable cartoon considering it didn't contain any of the established Looney Toons characters.

Very fun and cute, looks more like a Chuck Jones toon than anything.

Real fun time with good music and style.

Catchy music. Interesting for its historical context since it preserves the musical styles, trends and slang of the time.
