Summary: Terry "Hulk" Hogan stars as R. J. "Hurricane" Spencer who is an ex-Navy S. E. A. L. and confirmed bachelor struggling to make ends meet. In order to save his superboat THUNDER (and ultimately, his business) Spencer is forced into a marriage of convenience with the snobby Megan Whitaker. When Megan gets kidnapped it's up to Spencer and his partner Bru to save the day or risk losing everything. (imdb)

Watched these as a kid. Things like "acting" and "story" obviously don't apply, and the fight scenes are fairly rote. Still, there is a lot of action, explosions, and unintentional comedy, although not as much as the sequel would provide. Let's just put it this way; what you see is what you get here. I don't think anyone was "disappointed" with this series unless they were morons; it has some limited entertainment value, and that's it.

The first in the trilogy of direct-to-video films from the creators of Baywatch has the highest production values in the trilogy but the least of what makes it appealing. Bru is made to be somewhat appealing in this one and this should not be. Chris Lemmon's endeavor to play the world's least likeable character is wasted. here. Fortunately, later films in the trilogy fix this.
