Claudine Auger's the reason this is above 50.

I remember this being one of my least favorite Bonds. Must rewatch because I was young when I saw it.

James Bond movies are always fun to watch if you´re in a secret agent mood.

Excruciating.

Commercially the most successful Bond, but certainly not the best despite a plethora of action sequences.

One of the most iconic of the Connery Bonds, beginning to lean away from Fleming and towards ever larger setpieces. Still wonderfully entertaining, with its eerie underwater battle scenes and its array of gadgets, gals and locales. Also the best opening sequence in the entire series, bar none. Look up! Look down! Look out! It really was the biggest Bond of all, until You Only Live Twice.

Mistake - A mask changes colour between shots in a scene shot underwater.

JB's fourth mission (on film), the last one before the comedians started writing the scripts.

The underwater battle royale made for a great climax but the hundred minutes before it dragged for what seemed like forever. Connery is still in fine form, though!

the bulk of it is slow and uneventful, for the most part all the good action is at the begining and end. the underwater fights are simply not exciting, and only the final fight scene on the boat is of excellent quality. has some witty remarks here and there, but not enough to fix the wrong turns this one made.

Entertaining but unexceptional Bond. Has some nice one-liners ("She's just dead!"), and Connery is as suave and awesome as ever, but this is one example where straying from the book's plot was a bad idea. Bond's investigation and predicaments are too simple and straightforward, dragging on for far too long at times. The climactic battle is also a real disappointment, considering the memorable conclusions to both "From Russia With Love" and "Goldfinger". Decent fun, but that's about it.

Certainly, the worst of the period´s Sean Connery, although he was the best. The premise of the story is good, but the maritime scenes, although well filmed, are dry and tiresome, and this undermines the film somewhat.
