Attempting to make non-consensual sex titillating - not cool. Sexualizing Clint Eastwood's (way) underage daughter - not cool. Clint Eastwood's ass dripping with sweat - soooo not cool.

The film starts off quite slow, borig and predictable, but it gets better when the assaulted persons are known to the main character. The end is predictable again. Not one of Eastwood's best films.

I'd completely forgotten about this little gem until I stumbled across it on tele t'other day. It's essentially Clint having a bash at very soft porn! The whole thing moves incredibly slowly & reaches levels of offensive shitty blandness only surpassed by Maroon 5! I'm a massive Clint fan, however this is dire! But if seeing him hit on not particuarly attractive women over & over again & then wiggle his sweaty arse around sounds like something you'd be into, then by all means give this a whirl!

"Suspense" should not be an excuse for a movie to be empty and dull, with few important scenes, as "Tightrope" was. In terms of building tension and disorientation, certain parts work, but sadly, most don't. Not an altogether bad film, but quite boring and forgettable.
