This movie is funny and in the end that's all that should matter but something doesn't 100% translate. This has the antihumor the duo are known for but the dadaist horror of it all is kind of toned down. In trying to tell a story (albeit it ironically) they kind of lose the nightmarish randomness that makes them so special.

I enjoyed myself, but on the other hand I was baked as BALLS so this review is completely untrustworthy. What I do know is that on several occasions I almost died laughing, so that's something, right?

If you're not familiar with Tim & Eric then this is probably a great introduction, but if you are then you've probably seen most of this done before. If you're like me and are semi-obsessed then the feeling will just be accentuated.

Insanely awkward, even more so than the show. Does not translate well to full length format. Still there are moments that will get you laughing, unfortunately, they are few and far between.

My sister was having to look away and I hadn't laughed so much in awhile. So busy laughing or being shocked that when there are slow moments it becomes quite boring in comparison and you wonder what the fuck you've been watching. I have not watched much Tim & Eric, so it was all pretty new to me, but I imagine it all works better in smaller segments. It is hard to take this seriously as a movie, but then, why should a comedy be taken seriously anyway? It was fun.

Considering their TV show, I'm surprised how many easy, tired jokes TIm and Eric rely on throughout this movie.

Doesn't translate the best and weirdest humour of the show to the big screen entirely. At most times, it feels like an usual Will Ferrell sort of movie (at least it's a funny Will Ferrell sort of movie). Some fans will be disappointed, some fans won't be. Some non-fans will enjoy it, some non-fans will hate it.

I've been seeing a string of bad comedies lately. This is by far the best one I've seen in months. Like most comedies, the first third is the strongest, but I'd still recommend it with very few reservations.

I get what they're trying to do, I just think they were going about it completely wrong and sucking every ounce of funny out of it as a result. Maybe I've just seen too many clips of real public access travesties to find the artificial version funny anymore. You have to work really hard to make intentional "so bad its good" work, and they just didn't try hard enough. The whole thing was a real letdown, because they do many of the little things right, but the film in a macro sense was unfunny.
