Reúne todas as características que permearam a obra do cineasta: enquadramentos precisos e movimentos de câmera ousados; ensejo de mostrar objetos e ações pertinentes ao enredo, nada é desnecessário; grandes atuações, com uma talentosa e elegante dupla de protagonistas (Cary Grant e Grace Kelly); etc. Assim como "Janela Indiscreta", "Frenesi" e outros, Hitchcock nos já coloca de imediato contra o protagonista, e só após nos dá a chance de compreendermos o seu drama e sua paranóia. Sublime.

Contrived like much of Hitchcock's stuff but partly makes up for it in flair, flamboyance and some sharp dialogue. The French Riviera as a backdrop and Grace Kelly don't hurt either.

Hitchcock in a workmanlike mode, cranking out an agreeable distraction that coasts somewhat on the panoramic views of European splendor, the everlasting charm of Cary Grant, and--perhaps most appealing to Hitchcock himself--the icy allure of Grace Kelly. It's glossy and professional, as is expected from someone whose mastery of the form is widely revered, but it doesn't reverberate. It's there, it passes, you start thinking about how good "Strangers on a Train" is.

Try as hard as I might I just didn't fall in love this movie not bad not great just okay

A cats game that's more fun than perhaps should be. Grace Kelly steals the show as she temps Grant over more than just diamonds.

Hitchcock just gives his two fantastic leads a great batch of dialogue to work with and some fantastic segments (the ball entrance is fantastic, both the car and fireworks romance scenes work well, and the chase is incredibly awesome) to make a fun but not fantastic film for his ouvre.

Plays not in the leagues of "Vertigo" or "Rear Window" but definitely worth to watch. The landscape is stunning and Hitchcock captured some nice shots, but the story isn´t very interesting. Grace Kelly is a treat for the eyes...in every single second.

The light touch is given to this film and Grant and Kelly are sizzling in what was a blip in Grant's career. At this stage of his career, Grant was playing it so safe he was down right boring. This film features the classic line of (after they've slept together) "I called the police and told them everything you did tonight" to which Grant replies "Everything? Hmm, I bet the boys down at the precinct enjoyed that!"

A lesser Hitchcock thriller.

All style and no substance? Close, but not quite. Everything except the story is great.

Doesn't have the nail-biting suspense usually expected from Hitchcock, but it's a very well-written and fun adventure anyway. It looks fantastic; the beautiful Riviera setting is a showcase for some great Technicolor photography. Grace Kelly's beauty radiates.
