This is the most anglo-centric movie ever made, and ignores that dozens of cultures (including the Amish, who are located about fifty miles from this film's setting location) have and continue to function without any petro-products whatsoever.

5 minutes into this I was mentally writing hate mail to Mark Young (and his merry band of 20 or 30 producers it took to make this drivel). 10 minutes in, when the characters were introducing themselves, I felt like walking out of my apartment and picking a fight with the first domestic car I came across. Do not waste your time on this. While the plot summary isn't exactly misleading per se, it's not what you think it'll be... picture the 10 people you dislike most in a room bickering.

All 33 points are for the cannibals.

Wow. You can not get more by-the-book filmmaking than this. From the BS reason why the world ended (Peak Oil, hurr) to the cookie cutter characters and actors playing the same character they always do (Michael Madsen is Mr. Blond, Vinnie Jones is a menacing British guy that chases girls), this is awful. I could even envision Mark Young on a word processor writing the dialogue as I heard it. "Oh man, this is gonna be great!! PHOENIX FROM THE ASHES!!!" Ridiculous.

After Dark gave us this little end of the world human vs cannibals movie..some of this movie really works..the characters were kinda predictable and at times boring...the night scenes when the cannibals came out to look for them was at times good and at others utterly dumb...but the last twenty mins of it I kinda got into it a little more to say it tried...
