It's allright, but there's an awful lot of 'one day we're gonna be able to do X and Y', making the whole film seem a bit.. empty. Kurzweil has interesting theories but isn't really thát fascinating as a person. Wow, that makes me sound like an asshole. Anyhoo, as an added bonus this documentary works surprisingly well as a Terminator prequel.
Interesting look at a man with intriguing ideas, he brought back sight for the blind, sound for the deaf and plans to bring life back to the dead. wait what.
Kurzweil could either be a prophet or a great tragic figure, I won't be able to tell you until he dies or we reach 2040, whichever comes first. He's obviously a brilliant mind and his predictions have scientific merit, but there's also something kind of sad about him. It's almost like he's convinced himself of these things so he feels one day he'll lead a different, happier life. The stuff about his father speaks volumes. Fascinating, even-handed documentary.
