In 1985, a crack comedy unit was sent to prison by a military court for a movie in which they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Yugoslavian underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as a wolfman, a frankenstein, a mummy, a mad scientist, a vampiress and Michael Richards. Goldblum and Begley make a potentially good team and there's a terrific supporting cast but this typically '80s _Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein_ tribute isn't even as funny as _The Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters_. Only Davis (as a sex-starved vampiress), Jones (as a tourist-trapping innkeeper out to turn a fast buck), and Richards (as a goofy manservant) bring any spark to the proceedings. The *trailer* was funnier!

A movie seen two decades ago, it was funny enough at the time, despite a mediocre cast and shows why Ed Begley Jr. is just famous enough to be remembered today, but not famous enough that anyone can remember anything he actually did.

This movie made me fall hopelessy in love with Geena Davis at age 11. Typical 80's comedy, but a great cast. It's hilarious watching Jeff Goldblum bulging his eyes constantly like he can't believe he's in such a junky film. Guilty pleasure.

Was able to squeeze Gena Davis into a Vampirella-esque costume, that's gotta count for something... Right? No, I guess not either. John Byner did a good stint as Radu the hunchback too.
