Travelling Light is a satisfactory effort in terms of highlighting the stifling and baffling conservatism of early '70s Adelaide. The youth, progressive attitude of the lead characters, and attention to detail in setting also somehow manage to endear us to the pretentious script. However, as many of the reviews will state, the film does not engage the viewer, nor enrapture us in its attempted poignant moments.
