Steve Buscemi makes everything right in this sophisticated movie about a small town looser and his relationchip to his environment. Definetely underrated; Steve Buscemi has so much potential.

OK so it's been a long time since I've seen this but it is a great movie. All the pain of real life. The actors all pull this off as if it was their real lives. So very believable.

Slightly depressing but always good character drama about alcoholic losers failing at life. Excellent cast, some cool cameos and it's over much too soon.

This is a great independent film. Steve Buscemi gives a great lead performance and does a good job as both writer and director of the film. The entire supporting cast also does a great job. This is a character driven movie, not a lot of plot but it is still really enjoyable.

Pathos-laden drama about a couple of barflys stuck in an existential fug. Why do they drink so much? Because they have so many problems. Why do they have so many problems? Because they drink so much. The great thing about this film is how real all the characters feel. Go to any bar in any town on any day of the week and you will see the same people, all dealing with the same personal drama. Very sad, but very human, just like this film.

A really poignant little film about not living up to your dreams. Buscemi is great as Tommy, a loser on his way to becoming like the other alcoholics in his local bar. There's some nice black humour, but mostly it's just really sad.

It may take a few viewings for most, but this is truly a great film. Steve Buscemi writes, directs, and stars in this truly underrated story about the quintessential lovable loser.

Another movie where you can't help think that Chloe Sevigny was going to be a break out star.
