Summary: Lawyer Charles Tuttle is defending his wife's relative Benny Gibbs in a class action fraud suit, but when he gets to the city where court takes place, he gets drunk and the following day, when the hearings begin, his friend, actor Richard Rietti takes his place posing as Charlie. The bad thing is that Richard doesn't know anything about being a lawyer, and Charlie has to teach him as the court goes on. (imdb)

this was a walmart bargin bin find. The other guy from Dumb and Dumber whose name escapes me right now and Kramer are in it, and do well. Charlize Theron is also in it, in an early role. Rip Torn does a nice job and the other female lead, Jessica Steen is really hot. It is a decent comedy, nothing to right home abuot, but it kept me entertained.

I am, perhaps, going easy on this picture as i saw it on an airplane. Surprisingly engaging and occasionally funny. Everyone is acting so well and seriously that the absurdity is all the more apparent. The heavy duty romantic angle is appealing albeit fantastic impossible. As the trial drags on some of the edits are dull & inconsiderate.
