A worthy addition 2 the hall of classic stinkers, the first 20 minutes or so feature some of the most unintentionally hysterical dialogue ever. Unfortunately it's impossible 2 always b unintentionally funny, so it turns into a slog through bad filmmaking & far more horrific acting. Still, there's much mockable fun here: the family's staggering levels of obliviousness make slasher-flick teens look like Sherlock Holmes & a seduction/popcorn scene is as insanely bad an idea as anything by Ed Wood.

I only watched it as a prelude to Best Worst Movie (the documentary about it). This IS the worst movie I've ever seen. The acting is utterly atrocious, he effects are stupid, and the script could be the worst thing ever written in the history of film. Even the title is completely wrong (they are referred to as Goblins the entire movie). All that being said, it's so bad I laughed quite a few times.

The legend surrounding this one was just too hard to resist, especially after seeing the documentary that it spawned 20 years later, "Best Worst Movie". It was actually much worse than the piece of shit that I thought it would be, completely inept in every area. However, what truly damns it is that I can't imagine watching this ever again. Is it so bad that it's good? Errrr, no. The incompetence is amusing at first but it's still a really unpleasant viewing experience. I felt unclean afterward.

The kind of cinematic atrocity that at least points to a unique directorial vision. It's just that the vision is so fundamentally misconceived (absurdly high-pitched anti-vegetarian screed, anyone?), founded in some weird anti-logic, and completely oblivious to how human beings actually act in the real world.

Okay, I saw this with rifftrax so I don't know if this counts but I don't intend to watch again without. Yes, Troll 2 is bad, but... I don't know, somehow it wasn't as bad as I expected. There was a lot of terrible but it was still watchable and it kind of made sense, plot-wise (except for the popcorn, what was the deal?) Troll 2 is bad, but I'd actually hesitate to call it the WORST movie. The Room is a case of far more inept filmmaking than this. Troll 2 is still totally unenjoyable though.

Hilarious. One of the greatest bad movies of all time. The "actors" have literally no talent. If you were handed the script and then just read on the spot outloud that's how it sounds. The writing tends to have everyone saying what they are currently doing or what they are about to do. Brilliant.

I like to think that comedy can be used even in the bleakest of circumstances, that social workers joke about the horrors they've witnessed not as a symptom of heartlessness but as a symptom of heart. In comedy the dark soul of man is deferred, we pull on the devil's tail. But this, this is too bleak. Too bleak for the peeing over the food, too bleak for the chainsaw, too bleak for the fly on the forehead -- none of it was worth it. May god have mercy on my soul.

Like The Room, it's hard to rate this because it's a really amusing movie but it's amusingness comes from how utterly terrible it is. Still, I have to rank this higher because while the Room is an awful piece of Misogyny, this is just a fun silly movie that happens to be completely awful on all levels.

I'm sorry, but I genuinely love this movie. Everything about it. Having seen it in theatres several times now, it's probably my favourite theatrical experience ever. The movie is so flawed in every conceivable way, but those flaws make it hilarious. It's sad to me that some people's reviews sound legitimately offended this film exists, because it seems impossible to me not to have fun with this movie. See the documentary Best Worst Movie, & it's even funnier knowing how wild the production was.

Fun fact: the costume designer is Laura Gemser of Emmanuelle fame. And yes, the movie is pretty much what you'd expect of a movie where the costume designer is most famous for being naked. Hilarious, obviously: a family take on an entire city of vegetarian German goblins (there are no trolls in the movie) from Stonehenge, aided by their undead grandpa. "A balony double-decker sandwich!"

There's a few shots in this film that need mentioning. The immense close-up of the Welles look-a-like grandfather's mouth, eclipsed in sexual tension only by the double mouthed corn eating scene. Admittedly I'm mainly reviewing this film out of sympathy for the films I've left hovering around 50-60 mark to bump them into a more respectable tier.

The amount of 0's this movie has received is absurd. Not great but still entertaining as shit and a good time if you aren't a douche. Things I learned from this movie: you can not piss on hospitality, Niblog is Goblin spelled backwards, Goblin queens look exactly like Maggie Gylenhall, and of course if you have friends it will keep you a virgin for life.

The director is at least trying, which makes it all the more hilarious.
