Boring and unfunny, Long should have stayed on Cheers.

Shelley Long as a rich and pampered housewife who starts mentoring a group of Girl Scouts as a way to distract herself from her own divorce proceedings. This utterly wretched cack is what Long served up as her first post-Cheers shot at taking Hollywood by storm. No wonder her career pretty much died until they needed someone to play Carol Brady. TV sitcoms is about the level of her talent.

Let's see, you have Shelley Long, Craig T. Nelson, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley, Harriet from "Small Wonder," Carla Gugino, Lucy from "ER," Sable from "Dynasty," the maid from "Will & Grace," and even cameos from none other than Tori Spelling and Pia Zadora!! Absolutely camptastic.

I so shouldn't enjoy this simple-minded movie as much as I do, but I'm a sucker for Shelley Long.

What's that you say? Local syndicated network at 2PM on a Sunday? I'll be doing something more important, like forcing myself to take a nap.

Shelly Long is an underrated genius. Oscar worthy perfomances all around. Oh wait, that's a different movie. This movie would be the opposite. This is a waste of celluloid. Go watch a Cheers re-run, or Coach, or Hill Street Blues, or even Saturday Night Live.

They played this endlessly on HBO. But seriously, Shelly Long and Craig T Nelson together? Um, no.

An enjoyable satire that I appreciate now more than I would have had I seen it as a kid. Where did Shelley Long go?
