Very well done send-up of the "hillbilly massacre" genre. Tucker & Dale are just two regular guys who fish, bowl and drink beer... until college kids camping in the woods near their cabin become convinced that they are hillbilly killers. Lots of gore, great comedy and good acting - something you would never expect from a movie with a title like that.

T&D Vs. Evil is a stupid film. But it's also a hilarious film. It has a simple charm, and it doesn't try to be anything more than what it is - a stupid slasher-comedy. If anything, for such a rigid genre with little room for experimentation, beyond how the stupid teens are killed, T&D manages to actually do a pretty good job of deconstructing it. A lot better than Scream does. Also, the trailer is pretty much a two-minute spoiler slideshow, so if you haven't seen the trailer yet, don't.

I've seen some compare this film to Shaun of the Dead...though in my opinion, that would be like comparing lime Kool-aid to a Mojito. The hillbillies are fun to watch, but the college kids are one-dimensional and bland. And that first scene...makes absolutely no sense.

Often funny, sometimes hilarious, but ultimately unsatisfying. The first 80% is quite good, but the film sputters a bit towards the end. Tudyk and Labine are great as Tucker & Dale, two country boys who just want to enjoy a nice stay in a vacation house. The actors playing the college kids were a different story. They were playing up the cliches of the genres generally poor acting for these type of characters, but it quickly became more annoying than funny. It's worth a watch if like the genre.

The premise is a clever reversal of expectations and the main characters are full of heart, played by the lovable Tudyk and Labine. It lacks a bit when it's forced to go through the motions of a typical horror film, but it's a fun rid overall.

a swing at poking fun at modern horror tropes that ends up hitting the ball utterly out of the park. it's both original and utterly hilarious, both of the namesakes are pretty entertaining and lovable. this also has the distinction of being a parody movie without actually becoming one of the movies that it parodies.

Refreshing to see another good comedy that's not taking itself too seriously and makes good use of slasher clichés. The last one that succeeded in making me laugh with that concept was Hatchet and that was a while back. Plus Tucker and Dale are absolutely loveable main characters.

More proof that loving parodies are the best parodies. Offers a novel shift in focus from such standard horror fare, yet it doesn't solely rely on such tricks, instead giving us Tucker and Dale, two incredibly likeable characters that keep your attention and sympathy at all times. And it certainly succeeds on both the comedy and the gore fronts.

It's rare to see a parody that so neatly skewers its source material while at the same time being more than capable of standing as a film in its own right. Labine and Tudyk make a great comedy pairing, and a combination of an extremely funny script and an audacious plot make this a gory joy to watch.

"Are your friends on any medication? Because I think they might have stopped taking it." Light as air and instantly forgettable, but a fairly clever upending of "evil redneck" horror flicks like "Hunter's Blood," with a little Sam Raimi Lite thrown in for good measure. Tudyk and (especially) Labine ace it, and Bowden's definitely easy to look at, but the sharp, sly script's the real star here. Cult status undoubtedly awaits.

This is brilliant. Finally a parody that really works and is made by true film makers... and boy, does it work! I was a fan of both Tudyk and Labine beforehand, so seeing them together doing a great job in this extremely well crafted comedy, was just icing on the cake. It spoofs the horror genre almost perfectly. You got to love it.

Inventive little flick where there is no room for prejudice and nothing is as it seems. The main issue consists of trying too hard and being over the top to score laughs. If the tone was a little more laidback and perhaps the script a little better then this could have been a really interesting film, such as Hot Fuzz.

It feels like authors had idea for 40-50 minute film and then were forced to stretch it to 90 minutes because nobody wants to distribute short films. First they make fun of all post-TCM cliches and then they fall into them. Partly great, partly annoying and even if I don't feel like I've wasted my time, it had potential to be much better than it is.
