A romantic comedy with a lot of bad acting, about a love couple who act like the're 18, With a director who's constantly trying to shock the viewer with puke, shit and sex.. Where they in an identity crisis? Though some nice shots of amsterdam:)

Probably Hauers best performance ever. Great Dutch movie made after a great book!

Personally I thought there was too much sex in this movie. Overall this movie wasn't too bad. Very crazy, and in the end quite sad. Eric was quite obsessive. Haha: tiet en kont tiet en kont tiet en kont kont kont

Top bassass moment? In a comedic scene that really doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the film, it's Olga attempting to go more or less topless in front of Queen Juliana (head of the Dutch Royal Family). Trying to flash your Head of State probably is pretty badass. 0 cats and 0 decapitations.

Sleazily erotic early Verhoeven flick.

Verhoeven's masterpiece.

Another one of those films with a different title here in oz. An early verhoeven that hints at his career to come. Toe knee :-)

I have no problem with Verhoeven going on exploitative rampage, but this was closer to nonsense. First half is early Godard -we don't give a fuck about community- without the chatter. Like all Verhoeven it's energetic and relentless. But in the end I didn't manage to take this movie in any context except that human beings are composed of bodily fluids.

A satirical and tastefully tasteless comment on false and socially constructed ideas of sexuality, commitment and conformity.

Paul Verhoeven surprised me with this film, having not seen his older works, I was expecting this to be more like RoboCop or Total Recall in terms of story and direction. The characters were realistic and the story changed from just madness to depression.
