Another small movie with the bane of lots of long takes. I know they save struggling filmmakers lots of time and money; unfortunately, movies are a visual medium, and all those five- to ten-minute shots are almost as boring as movies shot on videotape. It doesn't help that this movie is mainly blah conversations between uninteresting people, and that the protag in particular is a real fuckhead; I suppose that was part of the point, but who wants to follow THAT guy around for two hours?

The protagonist is a combination of narcissistic and also fatalistic in his personal self loathing. It's ultimately just about a man who can't seem to develop meaningful personal connections with people. The story itself is crafted after a Korean/Chinese parable about seeking love that was never deserved. Well shot and acted with a natural grace to it but it's still your standard depressing Korean drama packaged better than most.
