Summary: The Robinson family, father, mother and two daughters, are spending two weeks of summer vacation at a resort in the Catskills. Older daughter Patti vies with her friend, Valeria, for the affections of Demi Armendez but Patti is at a disadvantage because her father thinks she is too young for boys. The plot for the most part is very charming, with Powell lusting after a dashing Montalban. There's some pretty good comedy and a fair bit of innuendo. Powell gets a couple of limp ballads, but otherwise the song selection is quite enjoyable, especially "Oceana" and "Aba Daba". The supporting cast is quite fun, with special mention for Reynolds, who steals the show every second she's on screen with her ebullient energy and song and dance chops. A few dud moments aside, an entertaining picture.
