Yet another nice performance from Song Kang-ho, well paced and with a great score by the one and only Yoko Kanno, this was a nice film to sit back and enjoy. Slightly reminiscent of Tokyo Sonata with a gangster twist, it never leaves your heart sinking for long.

Although it may not compare in terms of artistic quality to the films of Bong Joon-ho or Park Chan-wook, that Song has starred in. It serves as the perfect vehicle for the S. Korean leading man. The veteran actor turns in a stellar performance, which although not as powerful as his role in Memories of Murder, shines in the spotlight and keeps you enthralled for the duration of the story. All other aspects of the film range from great to adequate. See this for Song Kang-ho.
