The style of animation, the voice acting, the action, and the presentation of the heroes were all great attributes of the film. However, it was greatly lacking in the story department. The plot plays like the pilot to a television series. There is no major villain, just a race of evil aliens. It seems like the writers knew they needed a real fight to end the film, so they made the Hulk go berserk instead of having a final battle with an actual enemy. Meh!

I'm a big fan of all these characters, but this movie just plain hurts me to watch. It's too sexed-up and violent for children, and too mind-numbingly stupid for adults. The plot is thinner than Kate Moss and all that crap about aliens is just hilarious. The coup de grace is the top-notch hand-drawn animation, which made me nostalgic for the X-Men and Spider-Man animated series of the mid-90s. This...is not anywhere as good as those were.
