I can say with some confidence that this has the worst design and animation of any feature length movie ever made. The script isn't much better either and the plot is about five minutes of story dragged over seventy minutes. So exactly as good as one could hope a movie based on a tabletop war game could be.

For a low budget anime this was quite good.

Hooboy. How do you make an animated movie about the elite fighting force of the universe into a plodding bore? Quite easily, it seems. In the grim darkness of the far future there is only boredom. And bad CGI. And a terrible script.

Absolute waste of time. The movie is essentially 45 minutes long however it's expanded by watching a bunch of Space Marines walk around in a desert and make poses. This wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the fact that the animation is dull and bland, easily comparable to StarCraft 1's cutscenes. This is a skippable film unless you like 40K a lot and really hate good film.

About as good as you would expect it to be, which is not very. The opening cinematics for the dawn of war games are more entertaining. Still, it is not completely bad and I would love to see a tv series or something.

The movie is for kids who respond well to macho cliches, blod and guts. As an adult (sort of) who appreciates originality, depth and blood and guts, it is difficult to justify spending the time watching it.
