No redeeming qualities whatsoever. A contrived and flat-out ridiculously bad pseudo-comic book storyline and special effects that look so unfinished that I'm convinced the movie ran 20% over budget. Honestly, this should never have been released in any format.

If you love movies where the bad guys repeatedly surround the heroine, and are pummeled to death in sequence because of their apparent inability to work as any kind of team, then this movie is for you.

This isn't a good movie. I appreciate what they were trying to do, and I'm sure it sounded good on paper, but it failed so bad. I think it would have been a great experimental short film, otherwise no.

Somehow this movie was both terrible and intresting, worthless and memorable. Cool, but dreadful. While I can't say I liked it, or felt it was worth spending any money at all on. It had some intresting ideas, so I don't regret seeing it either.

I don't know how this could have gone so wrong from a director such as Kurt Wimmer, who did a great job of organising the action. However incomprehensible cuts made to the film by the studios might quicken the pace, but destroy any plausiblity of the plotline. The artistic style could work, but makes the whole thing look like a video game instead. Guards never shoot when they have the opportunity, Violet is way too powerful and dialogue is poor. Action scenes: stupendous, but fun to watch.

I lasted about 20 minutes and it's the only time I can remember walking out on a film in the cinema. There's a bunch of other stuff that I've given up on partway through but this one counts because I embarrassingly paid money to see it.

Terrible movie for me for two main reasons. One, the main hero never bleeds. What point is watching a movie when the main hero is untouchable? Two, it has a scene where someone is resurrected by someone crying on them. Really?

I usually enjoy this type of trashy resident evil/underworld-like film with an early 2000's blue-filtered vibe, but this was just an absolute bore with pretty much no redeeming qualities. I won't even talk about the script or directing because that's redundant at this point.

How do you review a movie like this? It *felt* like it wanted to be good, but in the end, it wasn't. There was one interesting plot twist, but otherwise, the story just wasn't up to the level of visuals, action, or fight choreography. And, there's little doubt the background music hurt the experience measurably.

I have never seen the final release of this movie. This score is based on the preview screening that was shown 9 months before the movie came out, it was much better at the time. They actually explained the virus in an opening monologue. It also had more action and gore. A much better movie.

Mila really doesn't make very good movies. However, when one of them makes the rest look like Oscar winners then you really know you have something special. If at the end of the movie Kurt Wimmer had come on the screen and said, "Guess what? This movie was actually written, directed, and edited by mildly retarded whales hopped up on crystal meth," then I MAY have forgiven this mess. I gave 3 points for Mila's 'hot-factor.'

Yet another sci-fi movie with a female protagonist that gives it good eye-candy value. The cinematography is quite creative and the visuals are quite good. Special effects are nice to watch, but the eye candy is better. The fight scenes are nicely choreographed. The storyline is not as solid as I would like, but forgivable anyway.

Ultraviolet was a film made to be like a comic. Each scene self contained with a nice visual effect, snappy line of dialogue or face-stomping action.... in theory. In practice we have a disjointed mess where the characters motivation are either changing every 10 minutes from some seemingly inconsequential event to suit the scene, or it's given to us just AFTER whatever it is they did to explain why they just did it.
