Same as many other Viet Nam revenge flicks, but this one has a much more entertaining cast.

Really it's just not very impressive at all. It just never becomes anything more than a pretty average thriller as America tries to come to terms with Vietnam after the war ended. Gene Hackman is good, as usual, and Swayze has some good moments as well. None of the rest of the cast are particularly striking though.

Cliched, much-maligned, but thoroughly enjoyable post-Vietnam war movie. Enjoyable ensemble led by Hackman.

This is like Rambo 2 with a whole gang of dudes. Honestly, that's the story so it's not so cool/amazing because it easier for them, but if you thought Rambo 2 was over the top this might be the movie for you. And if you loved Rambo 2 you'll probably find this in the likable range.

Perhaps the best of the "Vietnam revenge" subgenre of '80s action movies. It's a simple rah-rah kind of movie, of course, but it works most of the time

Over the top and one-dimensional, but so what? It's a basic war film with Hackman, and it does just fine.
