A very nice story, that a lot of people might dislike for political reasons. The top three characters are all fully developed and have great chemistry. The kid is very good, which is nice considering how crappy some child actors are.

The adventure of a 9 year old boy who crosses the U.S. Border to find his mother. Though billed as a comedy, there aren't A LOT of laughs in the movie. But, that's okay; it's perfectly watchable. Other than Mama (who you want to throw a brick at for leaving her kid in Mexico in the first place), all characters are richly developed and memorable. The best part of the movie is that it allows viewers to have a taste of Mexico as well as a subculture that many of us may be unfamiliar with.
