A good French political thriller. The plot is intricate and focuses on the three characters of the advisor, his hitch-man, himself a former civilian of the secret services, a young cop, who gets by chance involved in this case. The loneliness and limits of the power are well-described,how personal settlement of scores get mixes with national interest. The movie takes its roots and inspiration in the political thrillers of the 70's but is more realistic, more cynical too, less black-and-white.
