Summary: Singer/storyteller Jayadevan (Suresh Gopi) comes to his birth village of Meledathu, where the families of Thekkumpurathu & Vadakkumpurathu were always at loggerheads with each other, to sing at the temple festival for Vadakkumpurathu. Thekkumpurathu invites over folk dancer Kanaka Prabha (Urvashi) to compete with Jayadevan, & after some initial spats, Kanaka Prabha & Jayadevan warms up to each other & discovers that each of them have a tragic past linked to the village & the temple.
