Summary: Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V for Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Despite some pretentious dialogue and a rather unoriginal story, this film manages to be engrossing and enjoyable.

Possesses about a tenth of the substance of the Alan Moore comic it's based on but it manages to do fairly well as a straight up action film. The political subtext would only serve as a profound lesson to elementary school kids as it's rather shallow in presentation.
