Summary: Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V for Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Very Very fun. Nice adaptation, if I had a few problems with it. Very gripping, very fun, and V is such a great character.

A relatively excellent adaptation of Alan Moore's fabulous vision of a Thatcher government gone unchecked. While it was not as faithful as say, Sin City, it was excellently updated. I was thankful they didn't try hard too play off some love story angle and instead kept the movie focused. Hugo Weaving does an exceptional job hidden behind a mask, but still emoting with his voice and body. Excellent work.

Somewhat entertaining, ultimately unsatisfying. The story drags horribly at times and at others it seems as though you can't keep up. Read the comic instead.

Action, brains, and a strong visual sense, this story will keep you interested from beginning to end. One of 2006's best. Also great performances from Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving as the masked revolutionary "V."

A footnote; the parody in the movie (Gordon's work) is much similar to "The Great Dictator". With it's script and wonderful acting of Natalie Portman (before and after the prison) i think it's a classic.

Extremely engrossing and interesting story about some futuristic revolution, fantastically acted by both Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving, especially considering Weaving spends the entire film behind a mask.
