Lars Hanson, Victor Sjöström and Ingrid Bergman! Sadly good actors doesn't always mean that it's gonna be a good film. And it's not the actors fault in this case. It's just a poorly written movie and nothing special in the way of directing from Gustaf Edgren. Maybe they should have given that job toSjöström. I'm sure he could have taught Edgren a thing or two. But they would still have needed to re-write the whole script.

Box Obras-primas do Cinema Ingrid Bergman.

This is my first time seeing Lars Hanson in a talkie. My reaction to his voice was so dumb but hey, I know you're not here to listen to that. So, this is a jättepoor attempt from the 30s' Sweden which is an era I quite like. Besides all of its technical lacks, the film has also a terribly misogynist storyline. What a waste of such a starry cast! It should've been much more fun even only watching this fabulous duo with already a legend Victor Sjöström and a hell of a greenhorn Ingrid Bergman.
