Although the message of sticking to your principles or swallowing your pride in the name of a greater good is there, it's painfully unsubtle, which -- for a movie that relies on one vein of humour as much as this -- is pretty much a death sentence. The repeated heavy-handedness of its 'everyone is a little racist' motif gets very old very quickly, and it's hard to see what the take-home message is -- not to mention why it thinks trotting out hackneyed stereotypes is worth ten minutes of laughs.
