Summary: The patriarch of the Meledathu family, farmer Raghavan Nair (Mammootty), starts seeing discords in his joint family, after his educated lawyer younger brother Vijayan (Siddique) marries a rich girl to consolidate his social status, despite Raghavan's protests. Vijayan's self-willed & chesty bride, Shobha (Ilavarasi), wrecks havoc in the household, driving up tempers & fraying relationships, which results in Raghavan & his family leaving the house.
