Summary: A group of friends on vacation decide to venture onto a trail high up in the mountains that has been closed for repairs. The climb proves more perilous than planned, especially as they soon realize that they are not alone. The adventure turns into a nightmare. (imdb)
Above average despite being formulaic and derivative; the film borrows heavily from films already well established within the genre. It gets extra points for some good performances, and some excellent cinematography.
Average. Psycho terror cliffhanger style. The film features action across some extremely brutal and beautiful landscapes but the formulaic story keeps it from rising above the ranks, still it has some brief flashes of genius. Nothing new except its in French. Ok time-waster. Slightly Recommended.
Sort of works out to be "The Descent" for acrophobes instead of claustrophobes. Really quite tense, even if most of the tension is stagy and obvious like all nowadays horror films, and I sort of like how there isn't a single laudable character in the bunch. Nothing about this is remarkable in any way, but I enjoyed it.
