Yet ANOTHER body-swapping remake of Freaky Friday, the late 80's seemed to spawn these like they were going out of style...this time it's Judge Reinhold and Fred Savage switching places and learning all kinds of obnoxiously cute life lessons. Avoid like the plague.

Another childhood favourite that hasn't stood the test of time, Vice Versa is still okay but not half as funny or entertaining as I remembered. Reinhold is no Tom Hanks in Big yet still manages to capture childish enthusiasm quite well; Savage does better in his role, instantly transforming from innocent kid into obnoxious adult. Watching it for the first time in over a decade, Reinhold smiling at his crotch and the Savage-Bohrer 'almost-kiss' suddenly appear curiously disturbing.

Utterly charming family comedy, with Reinhold and Savage making the most of a familiar concept. Subplot involving international smugglers Kurtz and Proval, leading to an unconvincing climactic cops and robbers chase, is an unnecessary addition, but the overwhelmingly good natured tone of the film, plus Savage's surprisingly convincing and mature performance, helps make this a winner, unfortunate that it was ultimately overshadowed by BIG. Great fun.

Often confused with Like Father, Like Son, and for good reason. Both films are similarly forgettable.

Wait one second! Are you telling me we get to see the comedic stylings of Judge Reinhold and Fred Savage in a movie with the same plot as a movie with the comedic stylings of Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore that tanked the year before? What gods have we pleased here on Earth? Oh, I know, the god of crap.

What do mean Tom Hanks already did Big? But we got the Judge and everything. 3rd rate knock of a photocopy of a fax - and that's just Reinhold's 'acting'

One of the weaker kid-becomes-an-adult series of movies. Even if you only include the adult-becomes-a-kid-as-well sub-genre. I guess "The Hot Chick" was slightly crappier. These high concept plots are what ended up killing the 80s comedies. Remember when it was just about sight gags, one liners and a mandatory boob scene? Then they came out with a gimmick like this! Argh.
