There's more circumstantial evidence to link Clark Kent to Supes in this than in any other film or cartoon incarnation. Combined.

I can't help but think of the music video for Budos Band's Volcano Song when I watch this short. I recommend watching it, it will increase your appreciation for this cartoon and possibly recontextualize the pretty racist other Superman short 'Jungle Drums'.

The story's one of the weaker of the series, but the glowing colors of the lava are a high point in American animation.
