Roger Corman hired young, still unknown Peter Bogdanovich to shoot a cheap sci-fi B-movie, splicing in recycled footage from Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (which itself recycled footage from a similar Russian sci-fi movie). The result is stupid crap, good for laughs. The grainy, cyan-tinted picture looks very appealing though and the compositions in the frame are consistently aesthetic, so it's pretty to look at.

Unnecessary reworking of 'Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet'. Guess Bogdanovich had to get his chops somewhere, thankfully there's always Roger Corman.
