Summary: This "alternate film" companion to _Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)_ was compiled from dropped sub-plots and alternate takes. Obviously not as good as Anchorman, after all the best takes were for the original movie. But there are some funny things too.

It falls short of ANCHORMAN in terms of the plot, but makes up for it with a few scenes that offer very original and fun comedy.

Definitely has its moments but it also drags on towards the end. Recommended for diehard fans of the original...

This straight-to-DVD companion piece is a sequel of sorts: a collection of alternate improvised takes and sub-plots that landed on the cutting room floor, strung together by an overly expository narrator. There are a few worthwhile moments, but all in all, this is pretty painful stuff. A lot of fake laughing at unfunny jokes, which only serves to make them even less funny. The tie-it-all-together narration is better than the 'movie' itself. These scenes were cut for a reason.

I can't figure out for the life of me why this was made. I only watched it because it came free with my copy of Anchorman. I'm not sure I ever finished it.

Better than a movie made up of extra footage and a cut plot should be, but no where near as funny as the original. It does have its moments though, but could have used more Brick.

While it's amazing that Anchorman had so many deleted scenes (and that they could be stuck together into a plot that's more coherent than several 'real' movies released recently), it's a gimmick that struggles to power the film through a full two hours. It does have the occasional moment of genius worthy of the original, but mostly it just falls flat.
