Extremely poor filmmaking. People are literally talking and you hear Bruce Springsteen just drowning them out, therefore conveying nothing. You can't do that dumbass, go back to film school. The ending is the same way, plus the ending doesn't go with the theme of the film at all. Very poor editing as well. And everyone knows Wal Mart sucks, just walking in there at 3 PM on a Sunday will tell you this. So a 100 minute documentary just becomes an extreme overkill. Epic fail.

Wal Mart is a terrible corporation, but this movie tries its best to pin war crimes on what is basically just a greedy, evil pig. Overreaches.

Badly edited; aside from the numerous awkward cuts, the "hard hitting" titles & sound effects really clash with the tone of the rest of the movie. Everyone knows that Wal-Mart kills small towns, but the better story here is how they screw over their employees.

Strong but obvious, hateful, fear-provoking, sob-story propaganda. (My prediction came true in the first 3 minutes: ominous music while showing Wal-Marts, rustic guitar music while interviewing a "mom and pop" store owner.) And showing a not-to-scale graph for less than a second? Inexcusable deceit. Don't like the pay? Treated badly? Crime in the lot? Get a real job, shop elsewhere. On the other hand, if the breach of contract stuff is true, Wal-Mart needs to burn and I'll gladly light it.

If you don't have anything new to say in a documentary or provide a very compelling argument or fail to look at it in a new way, or are just not interesting, then don't do it at all. Just read Nickled and Dimed instead.

Good in intent. Tries to show how "Love of money is the root of all evil". But couldn't help feeling the narration/ direction/ presentation could have been better. Cudos to the team for taking on this subject. But the message could have reached a wider audience and affected them more profoundly if the direction was tightened a bit. Amateur film-making. Worth a watch anyhow. Will definitely make you think about the 'hidden' cost the next time when you are see a item on sale that is way low priced

This is actually a decent documentary up until the last five minutes. The conclusion is one of the most bizarre and disorienting things I've ever seen committed to film. The movie gets loud. As in really, REALLY loud. Just watch it and see.

An interesting movie that runs far too long. Places too much emphasis on Wal*Mart's complicity in immoral practices and conspiracy rather than looking for hard evidence of malpractice.

While I agree with the premise of the film, that Wal-Mart is a corporation that does not care, this documentary doesn't convey the message very well. It has some snippets of information on why Wal-Mart is bad however almost all of it is employee heresay which really, really detracts from the impact. In addition it focuses on nothing good that Wal-Mart does, which further reinforces it's bias and makes it even harder to swallow.
