Not Wain's best, but I it had its moments. Justin Theroux should work all the time.

There are plenty of laughs in this movie. There are also numerous quirky and funny characters. The plot has some weak moments but the laughs make up for it.

There's a handful of BIG laughs, like full-on from the gut stuff, but with curiously long stretches of dead air often stuck in between them. I'd certainly recommend it for Paul Rudd and/or The State fans, but as a Netflix rental. It's not a film that will lose anything on home video. (Also, hesitations aside, this and especially Horrible Bosses certainly represent a superior direction for Jennifer Aniston's career than the shitty PG-13 romcoms she's mostly stuck with since Friends ended.)

It's funny throughout, with a few parts being truly hilarious and a few parts falling a bit flat. It's nice to see Aniston continue her trek through raunchier rated-R comedies as she does a nice job in them. A nice way to waste time for fans of David Wain's work (Wet Hot American Summer and Role Models).

What I expected from a David Wain movie. It was a simple story but it was fun and entertaining.

"Wanderlust may fail as satire, but its absurdist slant and eye for detail sustain it through its cruder passages." - Jesse Cataldo

You can't credibly mock a TV channel for being saturated with sex and scandalous behavior when that same sex and scandalous behavior are the only reasons many of your own fans will opt to see your latest flick. It's akin to riffing on the evils of killing farm animals as you chow down on a bacon cheeseburger, or complaining about the lottery as you plug a slot machine with quarters. It just doesn't make much sense. (pluggedin.com)

Rudd and Aniston are likeable and all, but I didn't really get much out of the whole hippie commune conceit.
